Reverend Kim Y. Billups, BSBA, MBA, M.Div

Rev. Kim Y. Billups is the mother of two sons, Zyaire & Zyon and a graduate of Penn State University (2007) where she earned a BSBA, University of Phoenix (2010) where she earned a MBA (Management & Finance) and Missio Seminary (2020) where she earned a M.Div. (Master’s of Divinity.)  Raised in the ministry of African Methodist Episcopal Union Church in Philadelphia Rev. Kim has been a member of her home church since she was 5 years old.

 

Under the leadership of Rev. Paul Thomas at AME Union Church in North Philadelphia Rev. Kim Y. Billups was elected and consecrated an Itinerate Elder in the First Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church by Bishop Julius McAllister in November of 2021.

 

 

Rev. Kim Y. Billups now serves as the Senior Pastor of Asbury AME Church, Chester, PA in the Delaware Annual Conference, where she is affectionately known as Pastor K.  Bridging many generations together in the AME Churches of the City of Chester the members are seeing a shift in how ministry comes forth.  As Pastor K helps them to see how working on yourself helps you draw closer to God so you can be used by Him to do His work.  The people are excited to grow as Disciples of Jesus and looking forward to the great work God is doing, and are honored to give Him all the glory!     

 

Professionally Rev. Billups has retired from 22 years in the banking industry yet recently returned into the workforce after completing Seminary to serve as the Business Office Manager at MISSIO Theological Seminary, where she also serves as a Teaching Assistant in the MA/M.Div. Program.  Rev. Billups is an entrepreneur, she has been on a mission to help as many people as possible to live a healthy active lifestyle after successfully implementing the same in her own life. She has a love for sharing with others the benefits of having a daily fitness and healthy nutrition regimen that supports good health.   

 

Rev. Kim Y. Billups is excited about being a part of the Delaware Annual Conference and serving the great people of the City of Chester, PA.
